The Sint arrives at City Hall. He will go up the stairs and stand between the two street lamps and bullshit with the kids for a short time. The treasure chest is brought in, and the search for the key continues.
The Sint arrives at City Hall. He will go up the stairs and stand between the two street lamps and bullshit with the kids for a short time. The treasure chest is brought in, and the search for the key continues.
While the band plays 'Kom van dat dak af ( what else ?), the key to the chest is found on the roof of City Hall. The chest turns out to contain thousands of chocolate coins. The children can now line up to go inside, give the Sint a handshake , get a handful of the coins and a bag containing two small mandarin oranges and candy.
At this point, we all went over to our house for coffee and sausage rolls. Once we were warmed up and a quick check showed that the lines were reasonable, I took all of the kids over to shake the Sints hand. No photos, as there were five little kids.
Now every night we put our shoes in front of the fireplace, hoping to find something nice in it the next morning- a cookie, chocolates, whatever 'someone' can think of. Meg has made a drawing for the Sint and left it in her shoe.
